Late Payment & Over Limit Charges on Credit CardsIn April 2006 the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) stated that the maximum charge for making your monthly payment late or going over your credit limit should be £12, which is much lower than the charges that were normally levied by the card issuers. Most issuers now comply and charge £12 although they say they disagree with the findings and decision of the OFT.We look to recover the difference between the amount charged and £12 plus Interest. You can only claim for charges over the last six years, so the sooner you claim the better. Payment Protection Insurance (PPI)Many credit cards have PPI added to your monthly balance, this has often been mis-sold. As such we look to recover the PPI charges, the Interest Charged on it plus another 8% Interest (known as Statutory Interest).
